A Night to Remember

Remember the Dance Contest I was so excited about last week?

We lost. Big-time.

Well, we weren't really that bad to watch on the stage but still, I was so embarrassed. I know my friends here in Macromedia expected much seeing as how I have been promoting it and shamelessly demanding everybody to cheer for our team.

Oh well. Shit happens.

Besides, we only have ourselves to blame. We didn't get to practice much, and 4 days in to the contest proper, we haven't decided yet on what music to use. We changed choreographers at the last minute. We haven't really talked about what to wear.

And the list goes on and on.

Oh well, that's all in the past. There's no use crying over spilt milk, is there?

If there's one thing this experienced taught me, it would be the value of unity and cooperation. One good dancer won't be enough for the win. It has to be a team effort. Also, never let overconfidence get the better of you. In my case, I've been to numerous dance contests back in school. I'm like so used to winning that when I got to the stage, I thought this would be no different.

Yeah, those were the glory days hehe.

By the way, after our dance number, everybody congratulated me and the others as well for a good job. They are one in saying that I surprised them. They didn't know I have it in me. What with all the moves I made on stage. lol

Anyways, there's always a next time, isn't it?

I wonder what's in store for next year's party...hmmm...
