i can say that i am not a very lucky person when it comes to raffles, draws or some kind of game of chance. the most i've won was a wall clock and that was like, back in 1998 :)last night though was different. my hubby and i went home with an armful of prizes :)
first off, we collected a number of mugs because he kept on answering trivia questions and may i add that i actually coached him on some questions hahaha! next, he was crowned King of the Night! yeah, i know he will be so full of himself when he reads this but i admit he looked handsome last night what with his coat and tie ensemble :) it's a good thing i also had my hair and make-up done or else i would have looked like a freakin' stage wife :)
for his prize, we got to collect cash, a huge bouquet, a gift pack and of course, a king is not a king without his crown, scepter and robe (or was it a cape hahaha)
during the raffle of prizes, i won for myself a spankin' brand new logitech USB headset! God knows how much i need it since i've been working for the longest time with a problematic headset. and it doesn't come cheap as well.
and the moment finally arrived to draw the names of people who have the chance to win any of the two major prizes: digicam and laptop. we all held our breath in anticipation and pom was announced as one of the lucky four people who will take their pick from the magic bowl.
when i saw him take his pick from the lot and looked dejected afterwards, i figured he didn't win. he was so hoping to take it home but then, everybody in the party was :) and of course, there's only one winner.
major prize or not, i still feel like i've gotten more than my share from the party. i got to meet the people behind the voices, newbies i've interviewed in the past and of course, old friends who i haven't seen for the longest time. you all know who you are :) they were all surprised to see my tummy so big and i can feel that they are happy for me.
i think we got so lucky last night because i'm pregnant, who knows :)
luck or not, i'm sure that our Jeremy was so proud of his dad. he kept on twisting and changing positions in my tummy last night i thought he already wanted to get out :) we'll see you soon, baby :)
as for my hubby, you'll always be the king of my world and that's for keeps :)
