Big news

i went to a bbq luncheon party at our TGK headquarters in San Francisco Gardens Condo last Sunday and everybody who saw me were surprised with what they saw...my bulging belly :)

yes, it's official. I would like to announce to everybody, well, to peeps out there who visit my blog, that yes, I am pregnant :)

When I first learned of my pregnancy, I was ecstatic. This blessing could not have come at such an opportune time. Everything's going my way and I couldn't ask for more.

I signed up for newsletters, I browsed the internet. I was always on the hunt for sites that could give me information on how to cope with pregnancy. I was careful not to do things that could harm my baby. But there were times when I'd forget my situation and still skip while walking downstairs. I know, it's bad. My mom had to always remind me to walk in just the right pace and not to hurry :)

When my family learned of my condition, they were all supportive of me. In fact, we are one in praying for a healthy baby boy because I already have a niece. But of course, either a boy or a girl will be fine. I'd be excited just the same.

So far, my pregnancy is going on smoothly. No morning sickness, nausea and the likes. Of course, I had the usual cravings but most of them were just common food. nothing of the weird stuff :) The only problem I'm having is the constant urge to eat. Like once i start, i can't stop. hahaha! sounds like a commercial, huh :)

I was on my 9th week when I had my ultrasound and it was amazing when I saw my baby on the monitor. He was so tiny but I could already make out his head, his body and arms from the figure. The results also showed that his heart is beating normally. I actually shed some tears when I saw my baby. I can't believe that I'm going to be a mommy soon. My hubby-to-be was not with me at that time because he had to leave for an errand. When he came back to the hospital, I was already inside. I kept on teasing him that he didn't see his baby for the first time :)

Just had my recent check-up last Saturday and had the chance to listen to my baby's heartbeat. It was like listening to horses galloping hahaha! according to my OB, a baby's heartbeat is twice as faster than adults. that explains it. I was just too excited to hear him for the first time. It's fascinating to know that I have a healthy human being developing inside of me. aaaw :)

I'm already on my 14th week. A few more weeks to go and I'll have my second ultrasound. First, to check if the anechoic cyst found on my left ovary is not there anymore and of course, we can try if the gender of my baby can be determined at that time. I just hope he exposes his self. I can't wait to go shopping for my little bundle of joy :)

Oh well, that's the rundown of my life's story these past few months. A lot has changed. Sometimes I wonder what will I do if I get overwhelmed by all the things happening to me, but I always believe that things happen for a reason. There's wisdom in these words. If not for all the things that happened to me in the past, I wouldn't be with the person I love most and who loves me in return.

I'm so blessed.

Thank you, Jesus for everything.

bye y'all!

xoxo

p.s. i love you, my babies :)
